hi!
Two years ago we had a 2wd car on our road trip from Cape Town around Namibia. We used a paper map and navigon Southern Africa on a iPhone then and it worked fine for us.
In a few weeks we will travel from Johannesburg, planet Baobab, maun, okavango panhandle, caprivi strip, ngoma bridge, savuti, back to kasane and after that on to south africa and kruger. This time we have a 4wd, all accommodations (campsites) are booked and our route is planned. Do you think navigon will work fine in Botswana as well? Or do you advise to use for instance the tracks4africa app or some other gps?
Looking forward to your experiences!

Hi Chris,
We advise self drivers to get a Garmin GPS with the Tracks4Africa software on it when going off the beaten track in Botswana. The iPhone or Android App is also doing the job just fine.
Cheers,
Hans
