The Platjan bridge has been damaged with the floods. They have said that a new higher bridge will be built beginning may / June but Martins drift is the only option for vehicles for the immediate foreseeable future. The Limpopo is still very high and Pont drift will also be some time before one can cross the river.

the bridge last Friday with no problems, they repaired the missing piece
with concrete and restored the bridge
