Post by come-along.nl » Sat Jan 19, 2013 4:17 pm

NB: Just a quick update from Tuli Safari Lodge...

"Platjan border is still open for vehicle crossings into Botswana / South Africa. Pont Drift is closed for vehicle crossings, however the cable car is in operation. Please remember to contact us prior to your travels to Tuli Safari Lodge or Molema Bush Camp so that we can advise you of the best route if you are self driving - thank you"

Tuli Safari Lodge:
"Dear Friends, Just a short note to let you all know that Platjan border closed at around midday today when the Limpopo River started running over the low lying bridge, once again. Pont Drift border remains closed to vehicle and cable car crossings ... there is a boat which operates, however as of this afternoon the boat is not running. The best point of access into or out of Botswana is via Martins Drift. We'll keep you all posted!"
