Self-drive trip July-August

I’m planning a self-drive trip trough Botswana (end of July beginning of August). We’ve done it two times before (back in 2001 and 2007) and we just love the route between Maun and Kasane. I only have the feeling we can get much more out of that route. Until now we drove from Maun straight to Savute Safari Lodge (Desert en Delta Safari’s) and stayed there one night. We had the luxury that my uncle lived in Botswana and worked whit the local government so we got a discount on the Citizen fee for the National Parks as well as on the Lodge’s. I’m afraid the cost for Lodges like that are now sky high. The second night we spent at the campsite opposite to the Lodge (Savute Campsite?). From there we traveled straight on to Kasane. For or upcoming trip we would like to see some more sights but we only have about 3 nights to get form Maun to Kasane and a couple of us definitely wish to stay one night at the campsite opposite to Savute Safari Lodge. Has anybody any suggestions about which route to take and in what area to set up camp? We are still in the planning state of things but I think it will be a route just like this:

-Home-Windhoek
-Sossusvlei
-Windhoek
-Ganzhi
-Maun
-Okavango delta
-Okavango delta
-Maun- Drive to the NP
-NP
-NP
-NP
-kasane
-Vic Falls
-Vic Falls
-Nata
-Gabarone (Mokolodi)
-Gabarone (Mokolodi)
-Ganzhi
-Windhoek
-Windhoek-Home

We started planning last week and I forgot to take the planning back home but it’s something like this. We travel way to much I know but we have the problem of wanting to see things to far from each other. The things we HAVE to see are: Sossusvlei, Vic Falls and Mokolodi (Rhino tracking by foot and Cheetah visit) and for the rest we’d like to spend as much time in the NP’s as possible. We have good experience whit a car renting company from Windhoek so that’s why we started from there but it would be much easier for us to start from Jo’burg (South Africa) or leaving the car somewhere else than we picked it up from. Like starting in Windhoek and ending in Jo’burg or something like that but that probably will cost a lot especially because we drive whit two cars.
