A huge fire has burned approximately 280,000 hectares in Etosha National Park between Okaukuejo and Halali, according to a report in local newspaper Die Republikein. Game losses have not yet been estimated, however one rhino is reported to have died in the blaze. As in the past, the park is expected to recover with the arrival of the first good rain.
