Drinking water in Camp sites?

Post by cody » Tue Jul 12, 2011 7:49 pm

Hi there

We are leaving for our trip to Botswana in just under 4 weeks' time....getting really excited now!I have read loads of trip reports but am wondering if anyone can help with the following.
Our route is; Mabuasehube, Ghanzi, Maun, Kazakiini, Xaxanaxa, 3rd Bridge, North Gate Khwai, Savuti and then Ihaha.
Is there any drinking water anywhere in the campsites and along the way other than big towns/settlements? Knowing this will greatly help in our planning.
Many thanks

Hi Linda,

I would advice you to buy all your drinkingwater before you head into the Bush. The 5 Liter 'bottles' are available at most supermarkets.

The water that is available at the campsites should only be used for showering etc.
