Sango Safari Camp lies on the banks of the Khwai River on the border of the Moremi Game Reserve.
The camp gets its name from the original inhabitants of the Khwai area, and now part owners of this camp.
Sango Safari Camp is an intimate camp - accommodating only 10 guests in 5 large meru tents. The camp strives to create the atmosphere of a mobile tented camp, combining rustic and luxurious features and designed in the style of classic safari camps of bygone days. Private en suite bathrooms are open air with bucket showers which are filled for guests with hot water.
Heiko (Bush Ways Safaris):
The camp will be owner run and managed, Moatlhodi Judge Sango, our local partner in the venture and a Khwai village resident, will be managing and guiding the guests. The decorating team were in last weekend and breathed life into the camp with their wonderful interpretation of colours and details to make the camp come to life. The area is pretty wet at the moment with the second flood peak of the Okavango Delta having come and gone, the water is recessing slowly. We have a Wild Dog pack denning not too far from the camp, so hopefully they have a successful litter and we see lots of them this coming season.
