Ben Moller owner of Elephant Sands Lodge was injured by a Elephant while he was repairing the TV antenna which was damaged by Elephant's. Last night Ben suffered as what is thought to be a mild heart attack. At the moment Ben is being brought to South Africa for medical treatment. For those of you that have been to this lodge the attraction of elephant drinking from the pool adjoining the bar has now become a major problem. Up to 100 elephants have gathered around the pool for water. The pool and reception area has been partly destroyed.
Get well soon Ben! My thoughts are with you and your loved ones.
kind regards,
Hans Schoelink

Update:
I visited Ben this morning and he was getting dressed to see the doctor and then hopefully be discharged from hospital.
When visiting Ben at Elephant Sands ensure that he tell you the story of how his life was saved by a small Motopi tree between him and the Elephant.
The attack started and unknown to Ben after the Elephants calf fell into the pool.
Ben asked me to to thank all the forum members for wishing him well.
Regards,
Pieter
