I drove into Moremi Game Reserve on May 2 (Maun - South Gate - Black Pools - Xini Lagoon - Third Bridge - Xakanaxa). Went through the recently opened area NW of South Gate. Check it out in Google Earth...

No serious problems there any longer. Wonder what the flood will do to it later this year...

My Third day Moremi/Chobe on May 4 (Khwai -Magotho-Mababe Gate-Savuti-Quarry Hill). No water issues at all and the sand is ok. Never had to use low range. Went up Quarry Hill in low range 'L'

My prediction is that this years Okavango Flood is not going to effect Self Drivers in Moremi & Chobe this year...

The Savuti channel is drying up rapidly. It's becoming dryer by the day!
