Petrol to top R9/litre by year-end

Town – The price of petrol could return to R9 per litre by the end of the year, said Economists.co.za economist, Mike Schüssler.
The latest 14c/litre petrol price hike, due to come into effect on May 5, will cost the motorist R7 more to fill a 50-litre tank. Wholesale diesel will be 29.5c/litre more expensive.
From Wednesday, 93-octane petrol in Gauteng will be 14c up at R8.54/litre. At the coast 95 octane will be 13c more expensive at R8.48.
Wholesale diesel in Gauteng will cost R7.81 and that at the coast R7.67. The wholesale price of paraffin will go up by 30c/litre.

Johannesburg – The retail price of all grades of petrol will increase by 13c a litre on Wednesday December 1, the Department of Energy announced on Friday...

Petrol and Diesel prices in the Gauteng area are at record high: 10 Rand a Liter :shock:

At midnight drivers will have to pay a record price for petrol in South Africa R13.96 a litre, as the rand tumbles and economists warn of tough times ahead. The AA yesterday predicted the petrol price could reach R16 a litre of 95-octane if the rand continued its decline against the dollar...
