C19 Between Solitaire & Sesriem
Generally in a good condition, but the Tsondab River is in flood and depending on the rain, may not be able to be crossed for the next 2 to 3 days. Signs are up on the C19 at Solitaire and enquiries should be done at Solitaire.

C14 Between Walvis Bay & Solitaire
The C14 between Walvis Bay and Solitaire is corrugated in many places so please drive slow!

C14 Between Solitaire & Maltahöhe
The C14 between Solitaire and Maltahöhe is very wet and slippery, please drive slow!

C46 Between Ruacana & Kunene River Lodge
The road has a lot of areas with deep water and although there are detours these are in a very bad condition and require a 4x4 and an experienced driver. It is advisable to drive to Kunene River Lodge from Opuwo.

The Löwen River is in flood and part of the C12 between Seeheim and Holoog, en route to the Fish River Canyon lookout point, cannot be used. Please drive the B4 from Keetmanshoop and turn into the D545. The road bypasses the flooded area and re-joins the C12.

C49 (M125)
Between Kongola & Katima Mulilo
The C49 (M125) is very wet and slippery, a 4x4 is required.
Namushasha Country Lodge access road has a sign posted detour around a flooded area, please drive slow.

From the B8 turn off to Tsumkwe
The C44 is very wet and slippery, please drive slow!
Several of the smaller roads around Tsumkwe are in a very bad condition, a 4x4 is required and caution should be exercised before crossing any flooded roads.

Twyfelfontein Area The Huab & Aba-Huab Rivers have not flooded yet. Most roads in the area are in a relative good condition.

The C13 is closed due to sever damage.

Road to Fish River Lodge
The D463 has been damaged by rain, but continues to be passable. Please drive slowly!

Road past Auob Country Lodge
The road is wet and slippery. Please drive slowly!

D1268
Road past Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch The D1268 is flooded in places. It is better to drive from Mariental to Bagatelle than from Kalkrand. Please enquire with Bagatelle concerning the road condition before departing for the lodge.

Solitaire Country Lodge reports that the road conditions in the central Namib have deteriorated following recent rain.

C24 - The Remshoogte Pass, between Rehoboth and Solitaire, is closed.

D1275 - The Spreetshoogte Pass should only be driven in a 4X4, and slowly.

C19 - The Tsondab River, between Solitaire and Sesriem, is flowing and travellers should follow the detour signs put out by Solitaire Country Lodge.

C14 - The Gaub Pass, between Walvis Bay and Solitaire, is closed.

Consultants are strongly recommended to switch to 4X4s. Travellers should be advised to check with lodges on road conditions before departing for the next destination.

Between Khorixas & Twyfelfontein
Parts of the C39 are in a bad condition. Please use the C35 south and turn onto the D2612 till you reach the Aba-Huab River. From here follow the road sign to the D3254 and to Twyfelfontein.

The following road updates have been received:

C14 UPDATE (Namib - Gaub Pass between Walvis Bay & Solitaire)
The Gaub River is running and the Gaub Pass is closed. Please take the C14 from Walvis Bay over the Kuiseb Pass and turn onto the C26 towards Windhoek. Drive over the Gamsberg Pass and turn right into the D1265. Then take the D1261 to Nauchas. If the traveller has a 4x4 take the Spreetshoogte Pass, otherwise continue on the D1265 to the C24. Turn towards Windhoek into the C24 and take the MR47 to the C14. Take the C14 to Solitaire.

D3700 UPDATE (North - Between Ruacana & Kunene River Lodge)
The road still has a lot of areas with deep water and although there are detours, these are in a very bad condition. A 4x4 with an experienced driver is required. It is advisable to drive to Kunene River Lodge on the C43 from Opuwo.

C13 (South - Between Helmeringhausen & Aus)
The road is in a poor condition. A 4x4 is recommended. Please drive slowly.

C13 (South - Between Rosh Pinah & Aus)
The C13 between Aus and Rosh Pinah is in very good condition.

C13 (South - Between Rosh Pinah & Noordoewer)
The C13 between Rosh Pinah and Noordoewer is closed due to severe damage.
