Chobe back entrance

Post by erik » Tue Apr 27, 2010 5:28 pm

Hi
We would like to enter Chobe from Kasane/Hunter's Road directly to the Nogatsa Tshinga Area and then on to Savuti. Is there any information about the tracks and the gates there? On T4A there is a track, but no gate, the Poha Gate being more south.

Thanks for a reply.

Hi Erik,

Can we have your whole itinerary? Seems like an unusual (and therefor very interesting) one.
Please share it with us.

Cheers, Hans

The whole itinerary? There we go (in brackets the number of days).
Mabuasehube (2)
Gemsbok (3)
Kaa Area (2)
Ghanzi (2)
Central Kalahari Game Reserve (4)
Maun (1)
Ethsa / Mokoro Trip through Delta (3)
Tsodilo Hills (3)
Seronga, Transit Road, Savuti, Chobe (4). If we can "organise" the Transit Road and cross the Spillway.
Kasane (2)
Nogatsa, Chobe east entrance when possible (2)
Moremi (3)
Pans (1)

Cheers
Erik

Hi,

I took that road several times, but in the other direction from the Savuti to Kasane. There was no problem everytime, but the landscape is much more beautifull and easier to drive. You will hit the tarred road to Kasane just opposite of Ihaha. But do not forget the registration ;-)
