Lots of road works going on in Lesotho

Sani Pass is not Sani Pass any more. The road is prepared for tarring and has lost it's real 4x4 charme and can relatively easaly be driven.
Still no other cars then 4x4's are allowed as indicated on the signs at the start of the dirt road and at the SA-broder post.

From Sani Pass to Mokhotlong lots of road works in progress by Chinese contracter. Road / track has been transferred into a good drivable
wide dirt road that is prepared to be tarred.

Road from Mokhotlong to Thaba Tseka is still a real 4x4 road and pretty bad at several locations.

Road from Roma to Semonkong is tarred for about 95% and should have been finished by the SA-contracter before the end of September
2014. From Semonkong all he way up to Qachas-Nek the road / track is now a good drivable wide dirt road already used by a lot of taxis. Whether this strech is going to be tarred on short notice is unsure. The road can be clearly seen from the Semonkong / Maletsunyane Falls view point.

You can't stop progress!!
